Revealed today during the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, System Shock® 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is officially launching June 26, 2025, on PC and consoles. Developed by Nightdive Studios, this definitive version of the 1999 cult-classic sci-fi horror RPG comes packed with upgraded visuals, deep mod support, and—for the first time—fully revamped cross-platform co-op multiplayer.

In a brand-new multiplayer trailer, Nightdive showed off how players will be able to survive the horrors of the Von Braun starship together, with support for up to four players across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. The remaster also features 4K 144 FPS support on PC, ultra-wide compatibility, and full gamepad integration.

Originally hailed as a genre-defining masterpiece, System Shock 2 introduced complex storytelling, immersive sim gameplay, and a villain for the ages in SHODAN. The remaster lets players relive that experience with modern enhancements—whether solo or in squad-based misery.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will be available via Steam, GOG, Humble Store, and all major consoles. Preorders and wishlisting are live now.
