Today, NVIDIA has begun rolling out DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution to all NVIDIA app users, following its announcement at CES 2026. The update introduces a second-generation transformer-based AI model for DLSS Super Resolution, delivering a notable leap in image quality across all GeForce RTX GPUs in more than 400 supported games and applications.

Users can access DLSS 4.5 immediately by updating through the NVIDIA app or by manually downloading the latest driver.

DLSS 4.5: A Major AI Upgrade

DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution represents NVIDIA’s most advanced DLSS model to date. The new transformer-based AI model uses 5 times the compute power of the original model and has been trained on a significantly expanded, high-fidelity dataset.

Early hands-on testing from gamers and the media—following last week’s beta release—has highlighted improved clarity, reduced ghosting, and enhanced temporal stability, particularly when using DLSS Performance and Ultra Performance modes.

DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation Expands

In addition to DLSS 4.5, NVIDIA reaffirmed that DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is now available in over 250 games and apps, with more on the way. Upcoming RTX titles announced at CES include:

  • 007 First Light
  • Phantom Blade Zero
  • PRAGMATA
  • Resident Evil Requiem
  • Active Matter
  • Screamer
  • DEFECT

New DLSS Game Updates This Week

Two new games are joining NVIDIA’s growing DLSS ecosystem:

LET IT DIE: INFERNO
SUPERTRICK GAMES and GungHo Online Entertainment’s rogue-lite survival action title receives a new update today, adding DLSS Super Resolution, boosting performance for GeForce RTX gamers. Users can further upgrade the game to DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution via DLSS overrides in the NVIDIA app.

StarRupture
Creepy Jar’s StarRupture, an Early Access first-person open-world base-building game, launched last week with day-one support for DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation. Through the NVIDIA app, players can enable the new DLSS 4.5 transformer model, switch to DLAA for maximum image quality, or activate DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.

NVIDIA App 11.0.6 Update Brings New Features

Alongside DLSS 4.5, NVIDIA has released NVIDIA app version 11.0.6, which introduces several usability improvements:

  • NVIDIA Surround enhancements: Remaining Surround settings have been migrated from the NVIDIA Control Panel, including bezel correction and hotkey support.
  • Advanced Optimus transparency: Laptop users can now see full application names blocking Advanced Optimus activation instead of only executable filenames.
  • Debug Mode: A new toggle instantly disables all overclocking and voltage adjustments from any application until reboot, aiding stability troubleshooting.
  • Developer options: Advanced profiling and debugging settings are included but can be safely ignored by most users.

New Tools and SDK Updates for Developers

NVIDIA is also releasing several updates aimed at developers:

  • DLSS: Developers can get access to DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution through the DLSS Super Resolution Streamline Plugin today Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and up to 6x Multi Frame Gen support are planned for spring.
  • Neural Shaders: The RTX Neural Shaders SDK: This new neural shader-based compression technology delivers up to 7x system memory savings, a 6x faster BC7 encoding speed, and 20–40% faster inference versus version 0.8.
  • ACE: NVIDIA ACE is expanding small language model support: The Nemotron Nano 9B V2 model is now available through ACE’s In-Game Inferencing SDK, alongside expanded support for Qwen3 4B and 0.6B models, giving developers flexibility in balancing performance, quality, and memory use.
  • Nsight Graphics 2025.5: NVIDIA Nsight Graphics recently released version 2025.5: The latest version improves stability and introduces dynamic shader editing in captured frames, RTX Hair visualization, and workflow enhancements in the GPU Trace Profiler.

Developers can explore NVIDIA’s full suite of RTX and DLSS resources to stay current with the latest game development tools and technologies.
