GeForce 391.01 Driver Available for Final Fantasy XV

Chapter One of Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition is available to demo on Steam today. Just in time, NVIDIA has released a new GeForce 391.01 Game Ready Driver so you can try it out today before the game releases next Tuesday, March 6. In addition, the new 390.01 driver provides a performance boost of up to 7% in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), along with being optimized for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and for Worlds of Tanks 1.0.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition supports two GeForce Experience features, Ansel and ShadowPlay Highlights. It also uses most of NVIDIA’s GameWorks, including Flow, HairWorks, ShadowWorks, Turf Effects and VXAO. If you want to benchmark your PC to see how well it will do, there is an official 3.7 GB benchmark download that will approximate the final game’s performance.

NVIDIA Game Ready Drivers provide the best experience for GeForce gamers in the latest titles, and as an additional verification of quality, every Game Ready Driver is WHQL-certified by Microsoft. NVIDIA has committed themselves to continue to work with Square Enix to fine tune performance and stability and add support for features and technologies featured only for the GeForce GTX PC gaming platform.

Performance improvements in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) with the latest driver are up to 7% percent, depending on the GPU and configuration. The performance table here offers more details. This driver will also provide the best experience for GeForce gamers playing Warhammer: Vermintide 2 or Worlds of Tanks’ 1.0 Engine Upgrade.
