Bungie’s annual Halloween event Festival of the Lost is live today and runs October 21–November 4. This year adds two fresh activities—Haunted Altars (six-player PvE on the Moon) and Red Rum(ble) (a spiced-up free-for-all PvP)—alongside new masks, rewards, and returning vendor Eva Levante to kick off your festivities. Beginning today, Guardians can immerse themselves in the spine-tingling festivities of Destiny 2‘s annual Festival of the Lost in-game event.

What’s New
- Haunted Altars (PvE, 6-player, Moon): Defend objectives, collect candy, and battle Headless Ones for event loot.
- Red Rum(ble) (PvP, FFA): Players will unleash chaos in the Red Rum(ble) PvP mode, a reimagined Rumble mode that pits six players against each other. Look out for explosive pumpkins and surprise Headless Ones, adding an exciting twist to every kill as players fight for glory.
- Masks & Eva’s Event Path: Pick up your mask from Eva Levante to unlock challenges, Mods, and seasonal cosmetics.
- Loot Highlights: Look for Gunburn (Kinetic SMG), Hushed Whisper (Strand bow), and returning Arcane Embrace (Arc shotgun)—with limited bright-green holofoil variants noted in this year’s lineup.
Store Perks & Extras
Bungie is running a Festival of the Lost sale during the event window, including flat-rate shipping and a bonus emblem on qualifying purchases, plus the returning Headless One T-shirt eligibility window for prior earners.

Why It Matters
After a long content cadence, Festival of the Lost is a reliable mid-season shot of novelty for Destiny 2: a social, low-pressure way to chase rolls, dress up in ridiculous masks, and farm new toys—now with two activities that meaningfully freshen the loop. If you’ve been away, this is an easy excuse to jump back in.
Quick Start for Guardians
- Visit Eva Levante in the Tower to claim your Haunted Mask.
- Queue Haunted Altars (Vanguard/seasonal node) or Red Rum(ble) in Crucible.
- Farm candy and Eerie Engrams, slot Mask Mods, and chase this year’s weapon rolls.
Happy Gaming!
