What's happening at BTR *15*

Do you have that link please?

Sounds great BtW! I need more AMD-friendly titles.

Quote:Cool. That looks like a very decent new release game for only $27. Nice find! The benchmark is a nice bonus and it makes your life easier.

I wouldn't get a game at this late date unless it has a built-in bench. It took awhile for me to get the key from G2A - my Citi Credit Card set off their fraud alerts

Thanks. I can see why AMD is all over this one. The game makes the Vega 64 card look like a competitive option.

Thank-you! I read it and it's the perfect benchmark for me since it is a Vulkan title and I only have 2 others. Having it sponsored by AMD is a big plus also.

All good! It isn't a particularly demanding title ... OK looking but being cheap (and Vulkan) was what caught my interest.

Check out the videos of the benchmark in the guru3d article. I don't know that it is worth very much unless you are interested in how mannequins frozen in time in various poses benchmark.

I probably won't play the game. But the benchmark will be worthwhile just because it is an AMD-sponsored Vulkan/DX12 title. There will be less sniping from the Red Team kiddies about "too many Nvidia games" whenever I post my next review

That by itself is worth $27

TBH the benchmark is fine. It looks a lot like Sniper Elite 4 with some visual enhancements. There are few options - overall Ultra on Vulkan is what I use, of course. It also runs good at 4K on a GTX 1080. 50 fps average.

I am not so sure why all the NPCs are frozen in time and the action is stopped, but the waterfall continues to fall and there are other effects happening.
Me, I'm just waiting for Hitman 2 to release.

November 13. Great, I have some time to save up for it.

I found out the reason for my system instability - my PSU. There are only issues with high power draw cards like the Titan Xp/GTX 1080 Ti/Vega 64. But I think that it's because I have the 6+8 pin connectors from one lead. If I have to, I will chain an additional PSU to see if that is the issue or if my PSU no longer puts out 1000W. It's 3 or 4 years old and still under warranty, I think.
I'll stick to GPU's that don't need a ridiculously large PSU in the first place.

Considering getting one of the systems linked below and putting the 2600K out to pasture.

Not bad if you don't want to run games.  10W to run the system full tilt.  The LED LCD monitor it would be attached to draws more than that!

Finally starting to get back into C64/Amiga territory where you could run the computer (which was damn powerful and capable for its time) + addons (not printer/disk drive or monitor though) using just 25W.
