Donald Trump
You are too hopeful. His fanbase will blame Hope Hicks and drag her through the mud for giving Trump the virus. Even in Australia the news is already full of stories about her. Trump will always find himself a scapegoat.

I used to put all the blame on him - then I realized that he is just pandering to his base.

I read Breitbart news - rightwing nonsense full of conspiracy theories - yet up-to-date on everything extreme right-related. It's a good source to know what they are planning next. They don't hide anything.
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/...-symptoms/

If you dare, just read a few of the *comments*. I get sick after about 30 seconds (skimming 50 comments). It's these extreme supporters that are completely out of touch with any reality. The PotUS is just a power-hungry tool used by the ultra rich to pander to them.

The extreme 30% of conservative America are beaten, mislead, and abused in every way - especially by their religion and their preachers of "love" that only practice hate and intolerance - and they are manipulated to feel that they are special - as the "neglected common" man. All white, and completely out of touch with reality. They have lost their jobs because they are not competitive with the rest of the world, nor do they bother to retrain for better and more secure jobs - instead they blame immigrants for taking jobs that *they* won't do. They want special advantages to compensate for their laziness.

It's a crazy world we live in where most people look for online validation of what they *already* believe - instead of really checking what is accurate and trustworthy.

UPDATED. I just looked at the Breitbart headlines. Wow. Kellyanne Conway tested positive; the campaign manager also; a few republican senators (on the judiciary committee to approve the SC justice).

If the PotUS cannot protect himself with the best tech in the world (*except* by wearing masks) - what chance does the average American have who attends his mass rallies? Already we see a spike in cases related to these rallies. Republicans have done themselves a disservice by spreading the virus among the very people they need to vote for them next month. Short-sighted and rather stupid. And now people are dying because of them - while the extreme right still calls it fake news and nothing to worry about. Well, we shall see.

How about a little humor? Things are just too damn heavy here in the USA and it's like watching head-on trains colliding on a bridge - in slow motion. I think most sane people - even those who despise the politics of the man and his insanity, wish him and his family a recovery - along with the thousands of people world wide fighting for their lives from the real enemy - COVID-19.

if you did not watch SNL yesterday, you missed out - try to catch it on streaming

The Presidential debate between tRump (Baldwin) and Biden (Jim Carrey) had me doubled up with laughter.

SNL has got much better this year. Not quite of the caliber of the original cast - but much improved over the last decade (or two). Chris Rock's monologue was very good - but I miss the energy of his younger days.

Inject a little humor into your lives

Have you noticed that his tan has faded ... in just 1 day?

Quote:White House officials have previously said the president doesn't fake tan, but his skin tone appearance is the result of "good genes" and a little translucent powder he puts on before speaking on television.
Evidently his hair stylist did not accompany him to Walter Reed either :P

Well, Covid-19 cases are rising in the USA and Trump want to fire Dr. Fauci.

Hopefully, Trump will get fired himself by the USA voters tomorrow. But we'll see. Good luck to all of us.

Well, Trump just got fired. Good riddance to the twitter-troll-in-chief and the most divisive president in our lifetime!

The election was just called for Joe Biden as the next PotUS.

Lets hope the senate runoffs happen and go the Democrat way also.

Biden has his work cut out for him. He has to try and unpick 4 years of Trump idiocy, the Corona Virus situation seems to be getting really bad over there right now and he will have a belligerent China to deal with also. That's a lot for anybody to deal with. Lets hope there is more life in some of the ancient Democrat leadership than we saw under Obama (though he had a hostile senate to contend with). The new VP is virtually the only youngish face present.

I don't know if a Democratic senate is necessarily best for the USA. Nearly half of the voters still want Trump as president and if Biden railroads his initiatives through the Senate, it may generate a lot of resentment and result in a big loss for Dems in 2 years. Working with a divided Senate will show how well Biden can negotiate. And if he does well, then he may well gain the majority for his next 2 years.

It's a mixed bag - either way should work as Biden and McConnel are good friends in RL and have worked together for many years.

No matter what, Biden can undo all the initiatives that Trump did - get America back in the climate accord, renegotiate with Iran, and stop the BS separation of immigrant children from their parents - and Stop that stupid wall on the Southern border. Plus there will probably be a universal mask mandate and a coherent national plan to fight Covid. No idea what he will do about China, it's a big mess and Biden is not fond of them either. But he won't be Putin's lap dog like Trump is. It's good to see Russian meddling with the national election was kept to a minimum.

It's just awesome that Trump won't be able to hog all the attention as before and we won't have to listen to his demented lies and divisive garbage that he spewed every day. It looks like the American majority prefers a Regular Joe instead instead of an idiotic reality show drama queen.

Agreed, Biden will be the oldest president in US history. It's kinda cool to have a relatively young woman as VP - not to mention, a daughter of minority immigrants. And also probably really good for my state particularly, California, where a lot of the Biden cabinet is likely to be picked from. California has 40 million people, but has been underrepresented in national government for quite awhile. I wish the best of luck to our new administration. I just hope Trump doesn't cause a lot of damage until he is fired on January 6. He is already thinking of a run for the presidency again in 2024. Now I can hope he gets Covid again :P

This article says it better than I did. Biden doesn't need a Democratic controlled Senate to reverse most of Trump's deranged policies. Of course, it would help to get legislators on board - but IF he does well and the voters like him, they will return control of the Senate to the Democrats and add to the House Majority in 2 years.

Either way, it's a heck of a lot better than almost anything that has happened under Trump. And hopefully America can rebuild trust with its traditional allies to combat the growing influence of China and Russia. Huge tasks indeed.

I read in our local news he wants to take a somewhat conciliatory approach, work with republicans where possible. I suppose that will be a necessity until the Dems can control the Senate in their own right.

Still I would hope that order of business number 1 would be giving Ajit Pai his marching orders, followed closely by 2 cancelling SLS and either 3 cancelling Artemis or redesigning the mission and allowing more time for it to happen in a sane manner.

Biden needs to get rid of *everyone* that are tRrump allies and left over from the most corrupt administration in modern history.

I wonder how much damage tRump will do until he is escorted out of the WH house by Marines. Probably a lot unfortunately as he already fired the Secretary of Defense to install a partisan hack and he will probably turn his attention to the FBI next. He is insane and the idiot Republican party leaders (like McConnel and Graham) are still protecting him. Hopefully they will lose both Senate run offs in Georgia just because of the stupid and evil way they are acting to give the Dems a Senate Majority - but that is probably way too much to hope for.

I meet a lot of tRump supporters and they tell me their "eyes are opened" now - yes, to insanity and conspiracy theories that only idiots can believe. It's too bad that the jerk in the WH has given them any validity.
